#229 Vera Lane KID Cards
Thursday, January 12, 2017
This card went together FAST and EASY! For the background I lined up the Vera CARVED FLOWER from The Gardener. And duplicated it over and over until it was card front size.
I quickly colored it using only 3 shades of green and 3 shades of yellow.
This is such a GREAT set ... I LOVE the little gal in this set SO much!
Little Miss June came from this darling set ... those cupcakes ... right?! You can see that June is PERFECTLY shaped for a penny spinner ... as are those cupcakes!
I think this may be one of my favorite new cards ... I LOVE her! And she spins so freely! Of course ... my Liquid Glass wasn't completely dry so I was extra gentle in the video.
NOTE: I would have used the piece that was cut between the two dies (where the white space is in the middle of the card) however, I trimmed my middle circle down and it looked off. Otherwise ... use this! Adhere it right just like you do the center circle and keep the design going.
Now ... on to the BOY!
I LOVE being able to size my digi's however I like ... in this case ... full size! This little guy is from Backyard Monsters ... a GREAT kid set!
I colored this little fellow with Copics and used Colorless Blender fluid and my Colorless Blender marker to get the texture.
There is LOTS of detail that I didn't capture ... I used Bahama Blue and New Sprout Fireworks! to add some extra dimension and sparkle. I also used the Liquid Glass to pop the circles I had drawn inside the eye. I tied on some green twine ... made some dots with silver Nuvo ... and just had fun with this.
Here you can see the Fireworks! in action ... a couple squirts of each color and I have fabulous grunge art. LOVE!
For the sentiments I just typed out the greetings on my computer and printed them with my images. I LOVE how these fun little cards turned out and I hope they inspire you to get in your studio and start getting inky!
xoxo,
Mischelle
