Koi Nobori Wind Sock by Guest Designer Marcie Nowell
Friday, May 08, 2009We knew this Wind Sock was incredible as soon as we saw it, however, it's even more INCREDIBLE after reading these words that Marcie included with this piece.
May 5, in Hawaii, is traditionally celebrated as Boys' Day. Families celebrate by displaying koi nobori (translated carp banner) on poles outside their homes in honor of their son(s). The koi is a symbol of strength, determination, and courage.
WOW! And just think ... you have PLENTY of time to get this done before May 5, 2010! This is AWESOME Marcie!
Happy Paper Crafting!
