Thanks Card
Saturday, September 18, 2010
I'm embarrassed to admit how LONG I worked on this image! This was my first time using my Copics to color leaves so I had lots to figure out. I wasn't completely thrilled but HAD to put it on a card and FINISH it! {smiles}
I colored our white ribbon with my Copics to coordinate with the image and my cardstock.
I embossed the cardstock with my Spellbinders and then ran my VersaMark Pad over the raised image. Okay ~ isn't the result GORGEOUS! This has become one of my favorite techniques!
Here is what the cardstock looks like embossed only ... quite a difference!
Here is a close-up of my coloring. {yikes!}
I finished it off with Glossy Accents ... LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! It's so cool to run your fingers over the 'thanks' ~ which is GREAT for all of us touchy-feely people!
If you like this image it's currently available in a special called 'A Thousand Thanks' A Thousand Thanks Promo
Next week I'm going to share some contest entries that are INCREDIBLE. Although these didn't win ... they are TOTAL winners ... so be sure and check back!
Happy Paper Crafting!

Wow! This card is beautiful! Going to go get out my embossing folder and versamark ink right now...
ReplyDeleteI love this stamp - had to buy the Customer Appreciation pack for myself! I played with it too this week and love your crumpled cardstock streaked with Versamark and I added it to my card. This one is a total winner - I think it's perfect! I like your idea of shading the button part and those thanks circles are wonderful too!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding, the leaves turned out gorgeous and very realistic! Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteLuv,Luv,Luv this one!!! What do you mean yikes...Your leaves are gorgeous! Wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteThank you soooooo much for sharing more ideas using some of our other products! I've been looking for this. I have many customers who love our products but can't swing the cost of copics right now & I have needed some new inspiration to pump them up & encourage their creativity in a less expensive way. Your card is fantastic, the leaves are great! Thank you!~Darcy Cooper
ReplyDeleteI am back again to tell you how wonderful these leaves are! I just tried to mimic it with aquacrayons (so my customers could give it a try) and even with your photo full screen, I couldn't nearly get the intensity and yet natural look of these leaves. I just love this card!
