Tune in Tuesday ~ Black and White Cards with a SPLASH of Color with Holly Mays
Tuesday, April 26, 2011
I am VERY excited to share my black and white cards with a SPLASH of color with you! I {heart} this little bunny from Beautiful Day! I knew right away that I had to put something on the board he is holding! That's where Background Soup comes in~ one of my very FAVORITE stamp sets!
The "hello" is from Background Soup...and it is the perfect size to fit on the bunny's board!
Here you can see where I cut out my "hello" image.
Here you can see where I started to lift out my "hello". Notice how I cut the "hello" out like a puzzle piece? When I am done using the "hello" as an individual stamp~ it will fit right back where it belongs!
I used Background Soup on this card...along with I Love Easter! The little flowers are from Neutral Mini Blossoms~ I colored the mini flowers with a red marker. I always use the Neutral Mini Blossoms because I can make the flowers ANY color that I want by using markers, ink pads, etc.
Both of my cards use flowers as a SPLASH of color. A SPLASH of color can be anything~ a flower, ribbon, buttons, cardstock, a colored image~ the possibilities are endless! Also~ you don't necessarily have to use the color red as your SPLASH of color! Use any color that you want!
