Guest Designer Debra Hensley and A Card a Day in the Month of May
Tuesday, May 10, 2011
Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to be a part of our A Card a Day in the Month of May celebration! It's so inspirational to see the wonderful creations each of the guest designers has shared with us. Today we continue on with this week's fabulous sketch by Heather Scott. I decided to keep to the orignial dimesions of the sketch, except for rounding the bottom corners. This is a very basic and versatile design and words especially well to bring the focal point of your card to the stamped image.
For my card I used Lily Anna pattern paper, cardstock and ribbon. I stamped the cute kitty from Mabelle Ro's Fibi and Lilly R3284 with Memento ink. I colored her with Copic markers and added a little bling to the bee's wing by using one of my favorite tools- Stardust clear gelly pen F464. I can't live with out it! It adds just the right amount of sparkle anywhere I need it.
The sentiment is from English Everyday Cuties T3243. I also stamped the dots from background Soup T3346 in versarmark ink on the card base to give it some interest.
I encourage you to give this great sketch a try and post your creations.
As always- you ar interested in purchasing any of the supplies used to make this card please contact your local Angel!
