#190 Simon Says Stamp Monochromatic Challenge: Froggie

I had no intention of doing another masking card ... until my cover-girl and I went on our nightly walk thru the park. Check out my little precious:
Sophie and Stella |
I LOVE and ADORE this little gal ... both of them. However, the one with the big, wet nose is the girl that takes me on walks.
Frogs are thick at the park right now ... and I so enjoy walking by the little pond and seeing them hop into the water, peak out of the water, and swim away from puppy and I. So where is this story going? Well, I couldn't stop thinking of the frogs and remembered this stamp set I just got and one thing led to another and I made a couple of cards. TA DA! {smiles}
I think everything is self explanatory ... if you browse through the photos. You'll also see Masking Fluid {I use VERY often}. It's a super easy way to mask any areas ... especially tiny ones.
It started with a mask. |
Then I stamped this gorgeous image from Betsey's Blossoms. LOVE! |
I made a few quick cloud stencils. |
A touch of Masking Fluid on the eyes and my frog is stenciled and ready for some clouds in the background. |
My CTMH Sky Blue was daubed on and ... masking is a wrap! |
This really does make me smile! |
Wet Liquid Glass is making this little guy a bit cloudy. |
Kept this little guy simple, however, I think it would have looked better with an embossed background ... like the other card. |
That's a wrap! Here's to a hoppy day,
Mischelle

Love the flower for his pattern - my weekend is complete after seeing your inspired creations! I bought masking fluid a while back because of you but I think I put it on too quickly because often when I roll it off, the ink comes with it. :( Patience!!
ReplyDeleteOH! You are so sweet, Chris! I'm sorry to hear about your masking fluid! I only use it when I've embossed or used my Memento ink pads. Sometimes, I heat set my Memento ink before I use the fluid or watercolors ... just to be safe! I'm sure this is no help ... but yet ... I hope it helps! LOL!
