... Merry Christmas from all of us ... LEFT to RIGHT ... Mischelle, Boy, Sophie, Shug and Stella! Of course ... these images are Vera Lane Studio ... this set is called The Tiny Snow Family. We make great snow people, right?!
See how this card came together ... here on FaceBook ...
Or here on YouTube ...
Before things got crazy today ... I snuck off to my studio to make my 'family' snow people card. After making this card in my sleep most of the night ... I just had to pull out my inks and go for it. It's been a bit since I've done a watercolor like this and I've NEVER used a color palette like this! The inspiration was a bottle of lotion Sophie wanted from Bath and Body. I LOVED the colors together and it had gorgeous dimensional sparkles on it ... so ... I totally CASED it! {smiles} What I could remember of it ... it was wrapped up and under the Christmas tree!
Sophie was not part of the original set so I did a bit of copying and editing to my snow lady and created her. I flipped the image horizontally, erased the bottom snow ball ... and the boobies ... shrunk her nose a bit ... and deleted some of the smile. I think she looks like she was part of the set all along!
I also erased the bottom images off of the digi stamps in photoshop ... I knew I wanted them to be snuggled right into the snow so I needed to erase their lower portions. SOOO easy with digi's!
And then I just started playing. I need to practice a TON more ... but it was fun!
I had to chuckle when I played this video back ... I had no idea the camera was still rolling while I was assembling my card! It gave me a good chuckle! Yep ... that's how I choose papers when I haven't picked a color palette prior to starting.
From our family to yours ... Merry Christmas to all and God Bless!
Mischelle
