'thankful' ATC Card by Mischelle Smith for Vera Lane Studio

If you haven't already noticed ... I LOVE playing on Vera Lane!  This month our ATC Swap is 'All You Need Is Love' ... and however you want to interpret that.  I wanted to play with this little cutie ... LOVE. 

Lil Love is part of the Floral Park Collection ... which is one of my favorites!  I ADORE all of the little gals designed like LOVE her.

I thought it would be fun to create several different characters with Love ... and these are my results.   The card above is my favorite ... I think.  {I love things about each of these little gals}  I find the contrast between Love and her background to be pretty FABULOUS!  Her hair is actually inspired by one of our Vera Lane Design Team Members Stephanie Eaton.  She recently had her hair done and shared it on Facebook and I was like WOW!  That is a VLS girl for sure!  So this was my first attempt at blue-violet hair.  I must say it was super fun to create 'thankful'!  {ABOVE}

'be you' features hair done in my favorite color to use ... blue green!  YUM!  She's a bit boring compared to 'thankful' as she only has one shade of color in her hair.  She's okay with that though.

'blessed' ATC Card by Mischelle Smith for Vera Lane Studio

'blessed' is my attempt at pastels .... which are NOT EVER in my color rotation.  I don't know why ... I just don't gravitate towards pastels.  I LOVE BIG, BOLD, COLOR!  'blessed' does have a few shades of color, other than yellow, in her hair and I find that it suites her.  {Sorry she's kinda' blurry ... my camera wanted to keep focusing on the border image!}
Vera's Doodles are one of those MUST HAVE collections!  I used a different border on each card.

All three ATC's are on backgrounds created with my Gelli Arts Plate.  After the images are pulled off the plate and dry ... I then applied some of my Stencil Girl Stencils with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and a jumbo dauber.  I stamped the date that I made the prints randomly on each one. 

All doodling is done with my Tuxedo Black Memento Marker ... WHO KNEW that this marker is PERFECT for mixed media?!  I was so frustrated with my Microns not doing the job ... I reached over and grabbed my Memento Marker and the rest is history!  It is THE marker of choice now AND it comes in so many colors!  LOVE!  I also used my Signo White Gel Pen.  Of course there is washi tape ... and my Copic Markers.
