Another creation for 'WINGS' week on Vera Lane.  For this layout I made myself use colors I don't naturally gravitate towards ... purples and blue-violets.  I have to say ... I LOVE how this turned out!
The background on this layout was created with Inktense Blocks ... one of my new loves.  I then added stenciling with Grape Jelly and Paris Dusk Memento Inks.

I die cut the leaves in a light gray cardstock and adhered them to the page.  After everything was attached I added my white doodles.   I went around the images and leaves with my turquoise Pitt Marker.  Then I selectively added shading with my Indigo Blue Pitt Marker.
I'm so glad this layout found a home in my journal!

I think this little gal is perfect with her wings.  She is from one of my favorite Vera Lane sets ~ Ladies Who Lunch.
I picked the butterfly wings from Wings for Things.
The card below features die cut leafy/branches {technical name} that I was going to use on my journal layout above.  Obviously, they didn't make it to my journal.  So ... I happily found them a home on this card.
I die cut the leafy/branches out of paper I had gelli plate printed.  I think they turned out GORGEOUS and I was thrilled to find a way to utilize them.  
After making the card I spattered it with Grape Jelly and Lilac Posies Fireworks!.  I had already misted it with my Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz.
My little gal is colored with Copics ... and I JUST realized ... I kept forgetting to color her hair ... well ... it's still NOT colored!  Oh my gosh ... I have to chuckle ... she still works though.  This gal is a perfect mix of whimsy for 'wings' week!
My little gal is from Whimsical Princess & Frog.  I didn't see her in the store at the moment ... but no worries!  Janet, owner/artist of VLS, will always update the store with any set you are looking for.  If the set isn't there ... just give her a holler.
