#278 Hello Neighbors Journal Layout | Vera Lane Studio
Thursday, April 27, 2017
I love my digi images ... especially my houses ... so it was pure heaven making this layout.
My 5x7 Gelli Arts Plate is my go to for printmaking. I also have the 8x10 Gelli Arts Plate but only recently started to pull it out. It was easier for me to start with the 5x7 size and now I'm comfortable working with the larger size. I LOVE both.
So ... this layout started with my gelli plate. Then I had fun enhancing my gelli prints with my stencils and Tuxedo Black Memento Luxe ink. After stenciling ... I also added stamping to my gelli prints with a set from CTMH.
Then it was house time. I designed my Straight Street houses to coordinate with my printed papers. I wanted to play with an energizing, happy palette. For me ... this was it.
The pink ribbon is actually my bookmark I created for my mixed media journal. It looks like this without:
I'm giddy over black and white checked/striped washi tape. It's something I like to use on as many of my pages as I can ... a trademark that I made it type of thing.
I'm also obsessed with glitter tape and paper ... perfect for welcome mats.Breaking in my White Posca Marker has been TOO.MUCH.FUN! I LOVE that thing! I'm sure I'm over-doodling ... but, I can live with that! LOL!
I so LOVE my Vera Lane images ... if you want to play along check out Vera Lane. We have a FB Group and a monthly ATC Swap. Not to mention ... TONS of inspiration from our Vera Lane Design Team and FB family. Check us out!
