#299 Yoga on the Beach Journal Layout | Vera Lane Studio

Happy Thursday!  It's my day on the Vera Lane Studio Facebook Group where the theme this month is summertime.  After seeing so many incredible summertime projects on the FB Group ... I was ready to hit the beach.  So, I grabbed my yoga mat and found my namaste.
How cute is this little yoga gal?!  Now that I'm completely hooked on yoga and HAVE to practice it 1-2 times a day ... she needed to be in my collection.  You can find iYoga here.
I HAD to add Beach Love to my collection after seeing all of the AMAZING things the gals have been making with it.  Our VLS Facebook Group has so MANY amazing creations with pieces from this set ... I LOVE it!
It's been too long since I've worked in my journal and knew I wanted to create something for it.  The beach makes me think of watercolors so I pulled out my Peerless Watercolors and started playing.  I don't watercolor nearly enough and this practice did me good.
After I finished watercolor I pulled out my stencils and added a bit more texture.  I also used my White Posca Marker for the foamy/bubbly water.
I printed my VLS images in black, however, I outlined everything with my White Posca Marker.
I used bits of hymnal pages, my date stamp and my F-sized Pitt Marker for some doodles.
I'm not so confident with my watercolor skills so think I'll keep the watercolors on my desktop so I can try and improve a tad bit this summer.

I really did enjoy creating this layout and now I'm looking forward to hitting the sandy beach!
