#358 Watercolor Clean & Simple Cards Featuring Stephanie By Vera Lane Studio
Friday, April 05, 2019
I have been playing in watercolor lately ... trying to improve my skills. This new image, Stephanie, by Vera Lane Studio has been great for my watercolor practice.
Stephanie comes plain and clothed ... for when you need a super quick image. Her hair has been my happy ... it's so playful and fun.
I added white highlights with my white Posca marker and grounded her with some washi tape. I colored her flesh with Copic markers.
The backgrounds and the spatters were so fun to create ... art therapy for sure! For this card, I used Brea Reese Glitter Watercolors ... I LOVE their vibrant, sparkly hues!
This card was created using Copic markers for flesh and MeiLiang Watercolors. I wanted to attempt a dreamy, watery background and lighter hues. It is so difficult for me not to go full-on color and contrast.
I am LOVING these watercolors. First of all ... the tin ... in aqua! Gorgeous! And then the colors ... yes, please! These paints have been a great addition to my coloring tools.
These cards were therapeutic to create ... I think it's the watercolor paints??! It's incredibly relaxing to move paint around with water. {smiles}
I have more projects ready to watercolor this weekend ... I'm focusing on practice, practice, practice. Be sure to swing by the Vera Lane Studio Etsy store for some quirky and whimsical images.
Have a great weekend and God bless,
Mischelle
