For these next projects, I used alcohol ink for the backgrounds.

I stenciled on top of the colored image with Distress Oxide Ink.
I also put a coat of glossy Modpodge over the surface. I didn't glue down her hands and feet well enough and they were lifting. I actually like this glossy finish. The image below shows the card before the glossy Modgpodge was applied.
That one coat of Modpodge really made this card more brilliant.

I didn't need to seal the alcohol ink backgrounds with Modpodge, however, I LOVE how it ups the contrast level ... and I like those brush mark strokes in the finished project. For touchy, feely people like me ... it's perfect. I'm surprised that the sari ribbon reads so PINK in the photos ... in person I see more blue ... I'll have to take a second look for sure. {smiles}
