Keep the Light is a delightful, new girl on Vera Lane ... and such a joy to color!
There is a postcard swap on Vera Lane this month so I created this little piece for the swap.  We have hit triple digits here in our neck of the woods and this card expresses what it feels like outside in the heat.
I was originally going for an upbeat, springy-type day ... as this background suggests.
Before I knew it, however, I'd filled in the flowers and girl with the HOT colors of the day.
I had fun adding stitches and lines around the border of the first and third card ... it fascinates me how a few scribbles can change a piece up.
